One of our main priorities is to distribute essential harm reduction supplies, such as condoms and earplugs. By providing these items, we promote safer practices and help prevent potential risks associated with sexual health and hearing damage. We are trained to consult with medical professionals as needed and offer assistance to individuals in crisis. Furthermore, we offer drug checking services and accurate drug education to promote informed decision-making among festival-goers. We also distribute Narcan and provide overdose response training, equipping attendees with the knowledge and tools to respond effectively to overdose emergencies.
We ensure that essential items such as water, electrolytes, sunscreen, sunglasses, & other hygiene products are readily available to attendees. This helps maintain their physical well-being and ensures they have access to necessary supplies throughout the event. Our team organizes daily workshops covering various topics to provide education and empower festival-goers with valuable knowledge. These workshops cover a range of subjects related to harm reduction and aim to inform and engage attendees in meaningful discussions. Additionally, we collaborate with festival organizers, artists, and influencers to raise awareness about harm reduction practices and promote a culture of safety and well-being at Sonic Bloom 2023.
Overall, our responsibilities and duties as the Harm Reduction Team at Sonic Bloom 2023 encompass creating a safe and inclusive environment, distributing essential supplies, offering support to individuals in distress, providing drug education and checking services, promoting overdose prevention, collaborating with stakeholders, and organizing informative workshops.
