NarKandi Exchange Program

🍭What is the NarKandi Exchange Program? 🍭

Kandi is handmade, brightly colored bracelets made from beads & elastic. Kandi is commonly traded from one person to another at raves or concerts.

Narcan (also called Naloxone) is a life saving drug that reverses the effects of an opioid overdose by blocking the opioid receptors in the brain. After administering Narcan Nasal Spray to someone experiencing an active overdose you’ll typically see improvement in their breathing after just 1 or 2 doses in just approximately 2 to 3 minutes — sometimes less.

🍭What is NarKandi? 🍭

NarKandi is made by attaching a piece of kandi to a single dose of Narcan Nasal Spray. Hence, we call it NarKandi! The NarKandi Exchange Program is offered by Harm Reduction Circle 💕

🍭Why Did We Start This Program?🍭

Unfortunately not everyone is aware of the benefit of Naloxone, or they aren’t able to regularly have access it. To combat this we at Harm Reduction Circle created the NarKandi Exchange Program which enables us to get Naloxone into the hands of many individuals in an abundance of communities who may not be informed about Naloxone, or may not have a way to obtain Naloxone otherwise.

🍭How Does Someone Receive NarKandi?🍭

Anyone hoping to participate in our NarKandi Exchange Program is kindly asked to mail at least 3 pieces or more of their extra raver kandi. In return for a contribution of 3 or more pieces of kandi we’ll mail back a package containing a unique piece of NarKandi along with an information sheet on when & how to properly administer Naloxone. All forms of kandi are accepted! We kindly ask that participants try to donate between $5-10 to cover shipping costs, but this is not a requirement to participate (please see the links below to donate).
