About Us:
Harm Reduction Circle is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization (also known as an NGO) based in Irvine, California. Our mission is to reduce overdose & other drug-related harms using evidence-based strategies in numerous underserved populations. Programming includes overdose prevention outreach & education, overdose response, Naloxone distribution either using mail-based & mobile distribution programs. Notable accomplishments include providing overdose response training to 13,000 individuals & supplying more than 23,000 doses of Naloxone, & documented 171 successful overdose reversals & providing harm reduction services & education at more than 55+ concerts, music festivals, & other nightlife events.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the packing & processing of approximately 150 to 400 outgoing orders per month.
Perform quality checks to ensure that the contents of outgoing packages correspond to the customer order documentation.
Coordinating local volunteers to assist in receiving bulk shipments of Naloxone through the Naloxone Distribution Project, which typically arrive on a single pallet every 6 to 8 weeks to our Irvine, California storage facility (remote or in-person).
Maintain inventory of Naloxone on-hand, shipping materials, & supplies.
Using an expense account to place orders for shipping materials, supplies, & labels as needed.
Assist in organization, productivity improvements, & maintaining key metrics in the overall performance of our shipping & receiving processes.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1+ minimum of related experience in a warehouse or production environment required.
Ability to read & interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, & procedures, etc.
Computer skills with an attention to detail & problem solving skills.
Physical ability to bend, reach, & lift 50 lbs. without assistance.

Compensation:
This is an unpaid volunteer position. Currently, Harm Reduction Circle is a volunteer-run program. In the future this opportunity may lead to a full-time, grant funded, benefit earning position once adequate funding is available, but this is not guaranteed.
